Intro:
Through this project we were asked to study a given topic and we went into thorough detail within. Personally I have chosen the igbo women's war against the british officials. These women were tired of the degradation and unfair laws set against women. They decided to make a change, these women would gather in groups leading to the triple digits and you may think they would be violent with all of this rage and would protest in violent ways. you would be wrong, they would gather in town squares and just sit and chant the words of wisdom in which they have overcome. So for my project I drew an image of a women sitting while a british officials is sticking a rifle in her face over the fact of free and pure believe in inequality.

Op-Ed
The nigerians womens wars consisted of a group of women who were being degraded by the french who were colonizing the nigerian communities who were known as the igbo tribe. Throughout this paper I will cover how and what started this revolution of riots and other protests led by the women of nigeria. I am here to prove why and how these women carried out such a large scale protest to make such a large difference in equality within the communities of nigeria. I will also cover how these series of protests helped their country become independent and free with evidence to back up my claims. I believe that the women's war was very successful because when they stopped following the rules and protests broke out it gave the imposters a look on how much degradation, tourture mental and physical was recognized and it made a real change. My first source will be covering the facts and large main ideas of the igbo tribe and how the women in those communities made a difference also on how this riot started in the first place. (1)“Diverse views have been offered to explain the causes of the Women's War. Some colonial apologists described the war as "riots" carried out by African women who failed to appreciate the "blessings" of British rule.”
This quote explains the main cause of this war was based on diverse views between two different cultures and their beliefs on things.
How did this series of riots start as a whole and why? The women of the pre- colonial period were not satisfied with the “colonial rule” where school fees and forced labor were enforced upon the women of nigeria. Whom who came up to the plate to make a change was a woman and man named Nwanyeruwa, and Mark Emereuwa these two were in charge of a massive change as to how these locals were treated by the europeans. These groups of women traveled from far away to a town called aloko where they’re protests were targeted towards the hierarchy who were the Warrant Chiefs. You may think how outraged these women were they would break out in violence, but no. they’re main method of protesting was sitting. They would sit in their place and would not move unless it was forced upon. 55 women's lives were taken by the enforcers of this hierarchy. Here is a quote to support this claim. (2)“The Aba Women's Riot resulted in the death of 51 women and 1 man.”
The reason for these lives being taken throughout a riot totalling 25,000 women and men these enforcers believed that these people weren't equal and when protests would break out they would fire into crowds of people ending many lives and injuring even more. Here is a quote to backup my claim. “They fired into the crowds that had gathered at Calabar and Owerri, killing more than 50 women and wounding over 50 others. During the two month “war” at least 25,000 Igbo women were involved in protests against British officials.'' As you can see there are many lives taken in this process to make women's rights and priorities equal to the people who tried to overcome these incredibly strong women who were able to withstand such violence and being treated in ways we can imagine.
In conclusion these groups were able to enforce an equal and fair agreement to enable equal and reasonable school fees, equal labor that includes monetary compensation and much more. Throughout this paper I have gone over many different topics within. I still believe the importance of this revolution is more noticed than others but how it is important is important because the numbers of people who came together all in one town against one single hierarchy was overcome by leaders who were only women. The message of this revolution is that all are equal no matter whom they might be and what they may look like.

Project reflection
Throughout this unit I have uncovered many things about the precolonial period where a group of women were being treated unequally by a european group who was trying to take over their communities. But this is about my school work and what I can do better next time. Although I do think I learned a lot I think the amount of effort and focus that was put into my op-ed was disappointing and I Wish to do better although I did finish my paper and honestly I think it is good for the amount of time I got it done because I slacked off. For example I think every paper I write, this one in particular my grammar and use of words sounds better than before. I think this is a good sign to me because at least I am paying attention about 66 percent the time. Although this isn't good enough I want to be the best learner as I can to have good grades and be able to balance my school work. I ran into difficulties when I started the paper. I didn't think it was a lot of work for how little words we were supposed to write. But no. The amount of research and study that went into this topic was far more work than the paper x2. Specifically started when we were asked to make a work cited page for our websites and sources that were used to write these papers. This was especially difficult because I've always had a hard time citing websites with the mle format and just studying all around is difficult for me. Honestly when i would run into challenges with finding good sources I would just give up and either go onto another assignment or put off school for a few hours when I was at home. I think I would've been more successful if I just put the time and effort into getting my work done and being able to sit still. The most important thing that I have learned from this project is that sophomore year is far much harder than freshman year and I still had challenges then. I think the demands from freshman year work a little less than now and I find this better although I think I need to start focusing more on school than life you can see by the amount of work that was not done and in some that were made with little effort and understanding. I had a very constant habit of getting side tracked and would notice myself drifting off during zoom calls where we were told what to do and help was there. I would just assume I am going to get my work done and end up not doing it and my mom telling me to get it done at 7 o'clock in the evening. I think I have grown within grammar and use of words to make my writing more eloquent. For example i would notice my self writing and i would get into this flow where i am able to just think what i'm trying to say and i would just type it and honestly that is why i think I was able to get my paper done within such a short time limit. I think this has made me successful in the eyes of writing and how i am able to use new words to make my writing sound better. I also kind of enjoy writing because it gives me something to really focus on and when I get into the right groove I am able to do anything.
Rube Goldberg Project
Throughout this project we were covering the how might we be able to involve satirical devices into a rube goldberg machine. throughout the humanities part of this project we were covering the use of satirical devices and the use of them and how they affect our modern world. When the study part of this project came to a finish we were asked to involve as many satirical devices into a RGM Rube Goldberg Machine.

Breaking News:
Large outbreak of laziness across the United States!
By Careless Creig
There's a new outbreak within the gen z groups around our planet. There has been a serious disease which has been spread all across the US. The virus is disabling teens from doing their chores and it is becoming catastrophic. Parents are outraged and some teens are being given up on. After close selection and a series of different studies the name for viral virus will be called laziness. This viral disease has been spread from country to country from contact and in air breathing within 6 feet.
There have been a series of studies towards this virus and the effects of laziness. Doctors from the clinic of Denver explains there are a series of different side effects such as excessive use of video games and dishes piling up within the child's room. They warn your children and request we all stay home for close to 3 months. Doctor john mclazy quotes “This disease is highly contagious between teens and preteens and you should watch for overuse of video games and sleeping in later than usual schedule.” as well as contacting your local physician if aunty of these symptoms occur. Here is a personal quote from the director of the CDC. “If your child is experiencing having a hard time wanting to get up and do their chores please call your local swat team to come pick them up so your other children are not at risk of contracting this horrific virus.”
Here is a short story being written from a parent whose child is suffering from this vicious virus. My name is Karen Square and my son Jem has been overcome with laziness. He is doing nothing but sitting around the house and refuses to leave his bed. I don't know what I can do to help and I have been overcome with fear and confusion as to why my child won't take the trash out! My husband and I have come to a point where we see no chance of him getting better and have turned off the electricity in his part of the house because he was complaining so much about the light. Please contact your local doctor as soon as you see these symptoms otherwise it'll be too late.
The CDC is coming up with resources and extra help around the house for families and children who have been overcome with this virus. Our efforts towards ending this outbreak will include forcing laziness upon your child forcing them to do nothing but sit around. This may seem contradictory however the study going towards the vaccine is not in fact a physical shot it is reverse psychology causing your child to be overcome with boredom causing them to become immune. IF you need any further instruction or help going towards the ffort to stop your child's sickness to end this outbreak please contact the cdc or youre public health department. Please help our younger generation become less lazy.

Project Reflection
My humanities piece of this project was based around the laziness that has acquired within the teenage communitie. Especially due to the amount of time we have spent at home in the past year has caused us to become extremely lazy. With that being said I chose to use laziness as my satire. The target of this was to make this process for us a little funnier and and is mocking how teenagers are so lazy. The message being sent is how teenagers' laziness may be our choice but it also just comes with being a teen. I used sarcasm as one of my devices to mock the amount of time we spend in our rooms and refusing to do the chores we are asked to do. I also used double entendre trying to make my writing a little bit more interesting to read. I learned that with a project like this where building each step is going to take time and I need to give myself more time to do so. It is important because it teaches us to build something bigger and better if we have more time. The struggles with being able to focus and actually ghetto building my physician RGm takes far more time than you would think so when it comes to be the last few nights and ur not working on your video yet this makes me concerned but also relieved i learned this a little bit of an easier way than i normally would. I think satire has become a huge part of our society mainly because in the past few years the US has been going through a lot of challenges with race and other situations that are dividing our country as a whole. It has really become a means of communication when talking about somewhat sensitive topics.I think it makes it more effective because although there are satires that can be offensive but it lightens up topics that are very common to become somewhat heated. There was one satire I remember which was sarcasm and although that the topic seemed to be quite dark the sarcasm within made it kind of funny which may be wrong but it lightened up the topic quite a bit. I gave myself the score of 6-7 because there were times i was not engaged in class time and was not focusing on the content lori was giving us. This made my work time very difficult because obviously I was not aware of the content that was given at the beginning of class. But then there were other times I would notice myself being quite engaged asking questions and all around being interested in the topic. I wish I could have redone this project in many ways because I do not feel I really grasped or understood the humanities piece of the Rube Goldberg machine and involving the satires within was a great challenge for me and I don't feel I expressed them enough.
